Supplies Needed for Nutter Butter Easy Christmas Cookies

My kids love food crafts, and so when I showed them all the things we could make with the shape of a Nutter Butter cookie, they were excited to start brainstorming. We decided to get a head start on our Christmas cookie creating, and headed to Walmart to grab some supplies. (We found a coupon for our Nutter Butter cookies and a few other holiday supplies here.)

Making Easy Christmas Cookies | Nutter Butter Santas

Making Nutter Butter Santa cookies is super simple – it’s the perfect afternoon activity for kids who love playing with their food.

Melt the white chocolate candy melts in the microwave, stirring every 45 seconds until completely melted.

Dip each end of a Nutter Butter cookie in the melted chocolate and set on a baker’s rack or waxed paper. Sprinkle the top of one side with red cookie sugar for Santa’s hat.

Press a few white candy balls into the red sugar for the white pompom at the end of Santa’s hat.

Give Santa eyes by dabbing a small amount of white chocolate onto his face and placing a mini chocolate chip in the middle.

Do the same with his cherry-red nose – dab a bit of white chocolate onto his face and press a red candy ball into it for his nose.

Perfect! You made Santa! Now, create an assembly line and keep going.

Making Easy Christmas Cookies | Nutter Butter Reindeer

Making Nutter Butter reindeer cookies is just as easy as the Santas, but they use one of my favorite ingredients ever – salted caramel melt. Yummy!

Melt the salted caramel candy melts in the microwave, stirring every 45 seconds until completely melted.

Dip each a whole  Nutter Butter cookie into the melted caramel, and set on a baker’s rack or waxed paper. Thins may get messy, so you can use a fork if you want to – we used our clean hands and spread the caramel around with our fingers.

Press two broken pretzel pieces for antlers into the sides of your reindeer’s head.

Give your reindeer eyes by dabbing a small amount of white chocolate onto his face and placing a mini chocolate chip in the middle.

We gave our reindeer red noses in honor of Rudolph – dab a bit of white chocolate onto your reindeer’s face and press a red candy ball into it for its nose.

There are so many fun ways to dress up Nutter Butter cookies, and the kids are looking forward to getting creative again with them soon. What are some fun, creative ideas YOU have for using Nutter Butter cookies in your food crafting this holiday season?
