I have to admit that if I had seen the Number Lovin’ Oven on the shelf at the store, I probably would have passed it on by.
That totally would have been a mistake.
I cannot get over how much my toddler loves this toy. This oven and his tool set top the list for his most played with toys. He absolutely adores it.
What is the Number Lovin’ Oven all about?
The LeapFrog Number Lovin’ Oven is a simple math toy for little ones. Toddlers can engage in pretend play and cook a pizza, bake a loaf of bread, and fry an egg. And dance to the silliest song you will ever get stuck in your head – and trust me, it will. Our entire family can often be caught singing and humming, “put an egg on it… yeah, yeah…”
It can be kind of funny…
The Number Lovin’ Oven talks, sings, and teaches number skills with over 30 songs and phrases. Kids follow directions, practice number recognition, cut food into equal pieces, and count along with the oven.
What the Kids Thought of the LeapFrog Number Lovin’ Oven
So far every little kiddo that has come into our house has been mesmerized by this simple toy. In fact, one our of best friends stopped at Target on the way home from our house one day, and picked up a Number Lovin’ Oven for her toddler – who then played with it all that night – and got the egg song stuck in my friend’s head as well.
The Number Lovin’ Oven is played with every single day in our house. The toddler and kindergartener have wonderful games together with it at the center of their world.
What I Thought About the LeapFrog Number Lovin Oven
I was pleasantly surprised by this toy. It is well-loved and played with every day. My toddler is using words like share, fourths, medium, crispy, and more. I really love that my toddler gets reinforcement with his developing number sense, and is connecting the sound of the number word to the written representation of it for numbers 1-5.
It’s a super-fun preschool learning toy, and one that will be going on our regular gift-giving list from here on out.
You can find the Leapfrog Number Lovin’ Oven at local retailers, or online at places like Amazon, where you can order it for the holidays or a special birthday. You won’t regret this one… well, you might regret it if you find yourself singing about fried eggs…
I’m thrilled to be a LeapFrog Mom Squad Ambassador, and have the chance to share new LeapFrog learning products with you throughout the year. I was provided with this product to try out, but will only ever share the ones we love and recommend – LeapFrog products have taken up residence in our home since our oldest was teeny tiny because we’ve always adored them.
