Mess free creative activities for toddlers

While my twins love doing creative activities they don’t have the longest attention spans in the world. So when I’m by myself I hate doing anything messy with them, because one always decides to escape from the table with their hands all covered in paint.

That’s why I’ve been on the look out for some creative activities we can do together, that don’t make any mess and I thought I’d share what I found with you.

Mess Free Finger Painting – Housing a Forest

Mess Free Finger Painting - Housing a Forest

Mess Free Finger Painting – Housing a Forest – We have a huge pinboard on our kitchen wall just waiting to be filled with the kid’s art. I love that this activity allows them to create a masterpiece, with their cars, and the only thing that gets covered in paint is the paper!”

Mess Free Primary Colour Mixing – Craftulate – This mess free creative activity is an extension of the ziplock bag one. If you don’t happen to have any ziplocks in the house that are big enough you can use food wrap instead!”

Sticky Table Garden Contact Paper Activity for Kids – Learn with Play at Home – Oh I can’t wait to give this on a try! Miss E is always raiding my baking drawer and ‘borrowing’ the cupcake liners. I love that this activity can be set out to be big enough for two children to enjoy together.

Shape Town – Toddler Approved

Shape Town - Toddler Approved

Shape Town – Toddler Approved – Ok, this one is going to require you to get a little crafty first to create all the pieces, but then your little one can go to town (pun intended!) creating their own little town from all of the pieces.

The Simplest Toddler Activity E.V.E.R. – Mama.Papa.Bubba.

The Simplest Toddler Activity E.V.E.R. – Mama.Papa.Bubba. – Well it doesn’t get any more simple than this really. As long as it’s dry enough to play outside you’re all set. And no clean up after!”

Mess Free Pour Paint Rockets – Toddler Approved

Mess Free Pour Paint Rockets - Toddler Approved

Mess Free Pour Paint Rockets – Toddler Approved – Oh how cool is this rocket! This creative activity doesn’t quite meet my criteria for mess free play because there is still the need for the toddler to hold the paint bottle, but it’s just such an awesome idea I couldn’t not include it! I love creative craft activities that then result in creative imaginative play afterwards.

Sharpie Tie-Dye Shirts – Happiness is Homemade

Sharpie Tie-Dye Shirts - Happiness is Homemade

Sharpie Tie-Dye Shirts – Happiness is Homemade – Tie-Dye shirts have to be the MESSIEST creative activity out there, but not if you do it with Sharpie markers!”

Craft for Toddlers: Nature Collage Suncatcher - Hands On As We Grow

Craft for Toddlers: Nature Collage Suncatcher – Hands On As We Grow – Shall we finish up our collection with these gorgeous nature sun catchers. I love the idea of going out for a nature walk and then coming home and creating something beautiful from all the treasures you collected.

Have fun being creative!
