Unit Studies for Preschoolers

Young children learn best through immersion and play, which is why unit studies and thematic units are such great ways to teach them. In our homeschool, we try to integrate themes into as much as we can, so all of the kids can benefit – especially the littlest ones.

Unit Study Ideas

There are so many wonderful things to explore with your preschooler. Check out the unit study ideas {keep checking back as I’ll add new ones often} filled with hands-on activities and links to printables. There are also toy and supply suggestions to help you round them out and integrate as many subject areas as possible.

Fun Kits to Have On Hand

I like to have different craft, science, and learning kits on hand in case I need to grab things to keep my preschoolers engaged and occupied on short notice.

Koala Crate is a monthly subscription from the makers of Kiwi Crate. We’ve been a fan for years, and have subscribed to both of these crates. When they come in the mail, I stash them up high so I can pull them out at keep moments, and currently have both a complete and a partially completed kit ready to go.
