Coming to GHC – The Real Mom Tour!
I am so excited to finally be able to share this! For the last few years at Great Homeschool Conventions, I’ve joined my dear friends Pam Barnhill and Sarah Mackenzie for a panel discussion, addressing questions about everything related to homeschooling, parenting, and anything in between. It’s always been one of my favorite moments of every GHC event and a great way to encourage and connect with so many of you. GHC has recognized the value and community it builds, as well, and is introducing something brand-new this year at all seven events – The Real Mom Tour!
The Real Mom Tour is really a dream come true, a chance to pour back into the community that we care so much about. It’s like a big party, a mom’s night out, a time to come together and laugh and cry and just enjoy each other and connect on a deeper level. We know it gets hard – we’ve been there. We know you doubt yourself – we’ve been there, too. The Real Mom Tour is our love letter to you, the homeschooling mom, to remind you that you are not alone, that you are more than able, and that you deserve a night out.
The Real Mom Tour will take place on Thursday night of every GHC event, so make sure you register and attend the whole weekend! Pam, Sarah, and I will be discussing several topics, including finding contentment in the age of social media, falling more in love with homeschooling, and enjoying your kids where they are. We want to encourage you, give you practical advice, and hopefully even make you laugh a little! There will be some light refreshments, prizes, and games – but don’t worry, introverts, I’ll make sure you have a chance to win without leaving your comfort zones!
This moms-only event is a testament to how much GHC values mothers and the work we do as homeschoolers. Between our years of experience homeschooling our own children, the age ranges, the different methods, and the very different personalities that Sarah, Pam, and I bring to the table, you are sure to leave feeling energized, understood, and capable.
